What should I do if I’m invited to PGP 2021?
For the PGP 2021, you must meet the eligibility requirements.You must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or a member of a federally recognized First Nations organization.
You must also verify to IRCC that you have the Minimum Necessary Income (MNI). The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) must receive your notices of assessment for the tax years 2020, 2019, and 2018.If you satisfy the requirements and choose to proceed, you will have 60 days to submit your complete sponsorship application to IRCC, including fees.
Residents of Quebec must show that they have met the province’s sponsorship income criteria in the previous year.
Sponsors must sign an undertaking agreement with both IRCC and Quebec. During the undertaking time, sponsors are legally obligated to reimburse any social assistance their parents or grandparents obtain.Non-Quebec residents are given a 20-year tenure, whereas Quebec citizens are given a ten-year term.

IRCC had previously intended to invite sponsors to “apply around the end of the year” so that it could “expect to receive applications in early 2021 [likely January and February]”.The lottery, according to reports, has been rescheduled till early 2021. To reflect the change, the IRCC website is being modified.
The randomized lottery, which was supposed to take place later this year and invite up to 10,000 sponsors, has been postponed until early next year.
