    Skilled Independent Visa Sub Class 189

    This visa is for the candidates whose skills and abilities are in demand in the country. It is a point-based visa. And this visa is for those applicants who lack sponsorship from state or territory government or from any relative who lives in Australia. It allows the individual to live and work in Australia and enjoys all the facilities like medical, education, social etc and can also apply for citizenship after spending a Specific time in Homeland.     Work Experience (Australian)

    In nominated skilled occupation or a closely related skilled occupation, at the time of invitation

    • At least one but less than three years (of past 10 years) 5 points
    • Fill all the information like your name, address, and email id etc. least three but less than five years (of past 10 years) 10 points
    • At least five but less than eight years (of past 10 years) 15 points
    • At least eight and up to 10 years (of past 10 years) 20 Points

    Qualifications Requirements

    New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) assessment (either an International Qualification Assessment or a Qualifications Assessment Report) of your qualification, unless one of the following applies.

    1. Your qualification is on our List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment
    2. Or, you have full or provisional registration and your qualification has been assessed by a New Zealand registration authority as being comparable to a New Zealand qualification on the List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment.

    If your qualification is required for employment where occupational registration is required in New Zealand, you must show that you hold, or can obtain, full or provisional registration for that occupation in New Zealand.


    Tertiary qualification

    If you hold a tertiary qualification, you will need to show that it is equivalent to a New Zealand bachelor’s degree (level 7) or higher.


    To be eligible :

    1. You must be under 56 years of age.
    2. You, or you and your family, must meet all health, character and English ability requirements.
    3. You must be able to meet at least 100 points in the Points System to register an Expression of Interest

    Trade qualification

    If you hold a trade qualification, you will need to show that it is equivalent to a New Zealand National Certificate (level 4) and that it is relevant to an occupation on part B or C of Appendix 6 – List of Skilled Occupations in the Operational Manual. You will also need to show that you have two years of work experience.
